Bio.

Kenneth Michael Hoover has an MA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a BA from the University of Iowa. He is a PhD student in Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His work has been published in The Modernist Review and Assay. His creative writing was awarded John J. McKenna Fellowships in 2022 and 2023, and his literary criticism was awarded Susan N. Maher Scholarships in 2022 and 2023. He was nominated for the Helen Hansen Award and became the 2023 Wardle, Lane, and Spire Fellow. Before teaching, he worked odd jobs including film projectionist, pizza delivery driver, and bookseller. He works as an editorial assistant for the Walt Whitman Archive and Prairie Schooner.
